The application is quite simple, from both visual and functional points of view, but you can expect high quality drum sounds. Also, using this application is quite easy, even for novice users.

DrumOn is offered as a freeware application and it can be used on any modern Windows system. It comes in a small package and it can be installed in just a few seconds. There is no need to install any prerequisite tools or services and you don't have to sacrifice a significant amount of resources.

The developer couldn't have made the user interface any simpler even if he tried. It presents a complete drum setup, from a top-down view. Each component is marked with several letters and all you have to do is press the corresponding buttons on your keyboard to play.

Because you can hit real-life drums in different parts, to get different sounds, each drum and disc in the application has more than one letter. You will see one letter on a certain part of an instrument, while another can be in a different part or on an edge. This way, you can hit different parts of the same instruments, for different sounds, just like in real life.

Although there is room for some improvements, DrumOn is certainly worth trying out. The sounds are top notch and playing the virtual drums with the keyboard is quite easy, due to the clear and highly responsive controls.
